President’s Message—Spring 2003
Welcome to our new virtual home!
If you have found this message you are already touring our wonderful new APCC web site.
In late March your Board held its 2003 strategic planning meeting. The energy was over the top!
- In January we introduced you to the Online Forum, which
we hope you found time to visit.
- In February you received the last paper issue of Consulting Success.
- In March you received notice from Deb Hart May that the updated Membership
Directory is ready for you to download.
- In April, the redesigned web site launch!
The web site redesign, a two-year project, is a reality as you can see. You should have received your personal tour package in the mail. I encourage you to invest the time to explore this site so you will become familiar with the various sections and what you will find.
Can you tell how excited I am about this launch? I believe you will join me in my enthusiasm when you have “looked” around. Every member of your Board contributed to the design and content of this project under the leadership of Marty Nord and our new Board member and Web Liaison, Lynn Hanson. We applaud their diligence and dedication to bringing us to this long awaited APCC milestone.
The year 2002 was devoted to strengthening the association’s infrastructure. We have aligned our policies and projects with the possibilities now available to us through this communication center. You will see 2003 bring more opportunities for involvement, professional growth, resources for consultants and news on industry trends—all increasing the value of membership in APCC. Quarterly updates will keep our site current. You won’t want to stay away too long!
From the homepage follow the link to the About APCC section and allow me to introduce your entire Board. If you are new to APCC, check out the association history.
Paula Foster, the coordinator of our Online Forum series, is already planning the next one. The
Coming Events link will take you to information about the next Forum scheduled for May. Mark your calendar and begin collecting your questions for the panel of experts.
The Members Only section houses our membership directory. Your password to this section is in your APCC Tour Kit recently mailed to your address on file.
There is so much—and more on the way. The design is a class act and most appropriate for our professional presence. You will be proud to suggest to your clients or prospective members a visit for consulting resources. Our 2002 APCC Award recipients and summaries of their winning submissions are posted in the
Awards section. Kathleen Mohn, Awards Chair, has made it easy for you to complete and submit a nomination form for 2003 award consideration.
And, speaking of convenience, you now can renew your membership online. Follow the instructions found in the
Join APCC section.
In the words of Victor Hugo,
Nothing in this world is so powerful as an idea whose time has come.
The time is here for APCC. Be an active part of it—Get Involved, Get Connected, Get Results!
