APCC Publications Policy

  1. When determining whether to endorse a product authored by an APCC member, APCC uses the following matrix of criteria and point values:

Writing Quality Timeliness Topic Relevant to Members Practical applications Cost
25 15 25 25 10

Products judged to be incompatible with APCC values and philosophy are automatically disqualified from consideration.

Cut score is 80 points.

  1. When APCC agrees to endorse a product, we enter into a contract specifying that we agree to promote the product for a certain time period and for a certain percentage of the sale price.

  2. APCC receives 50 percent of the product’s selling price. These profits go back into member benefits to avoid jeopardizing APCC’s not-for-profit status.

  3. APCC provides a marketing platform for APCC members’ products but does not assume responsibility for inventorying products, shipping, and handling.

  4. Marketing platforms for members’ products include APCC catalogues, website, convention/workshop displays, conferences, and newsletters/magazines.

  5. APCC members who endorse a product that is not authored by an APCC member will receive no compensation from APCC. If the endorsement or review appears in an APCC catalogue, website, display, newsletter, or other publication, the member’s name will appear as the reviewer.
